THE STORY OF SEALCENTRE PIETERBUREN
We are Sealcentre Pieterburen, one of the oldest seal rehabilitation centres in the world. Thanks to our shared passion and multidisciplinary approach, we form a learning community. We convey that passion to the general public and thus make them aware of our mission.

For years we have taken care of the seal, including its habitat. A clean and healthy Wadden Sea is therefore very important to us. It is not without reason that this unique piece of nature has the designation 'World Heritage'.

We have a great responsibility in this as human beings and as a social enterprise. The role of the seal is crucial in this; it is the indicator for a clean sea. We measure, monitor, maintain and share our knowledge. To keep the seal and its living environment healthy and to offer our knowledge and expertise internationally. So that it can also be used worldwide and can contribute to a better (sea) world.

We often work with interns and volunteers and a small team of permanent employees. We are regularly looking for passionate and committed people to strengthen our team.
