Give a portion of fish
These seals are currently being cared for at the Sealcentre. You can support them by donating a portion of fish. Did you know that a seal eats an average of 5 kilos of fish a day? With your donation, the seals can regain strength to return to the Wadden Sea.

Will you help Kokoro regain full strength so he can return to the Wadden Sea?

Jelly
Date rehabilitation: 13-03-2025
Location: Noord-Holland
Species: Grey seal
Gender: Female
Jelly came in when she was three months old, with superficial wounds to her left hind flipper and a big abscess on her hip. Because of the severity of the injuries, we decided to admit her immediately. Jelly is now in a second-stage enclosure to recover. Will you help Jelly get better so she can return to the wild?

Noor
Date rehabilitation: 02-03-2025
Location: Noord-Holland
Species: Grey seal
Gender: Female
Noor was found on the beach at Sint Maartenszee, in poor health. After several days of observation, her condition deteriorated, whereupon we decided to admit her. Once at the Seal Centre, she was found to have a lungworm infection. Noor is now in a phase 2 stay. Will you help her recover so she can return to the Wadden Sea?

Ziggy
Date rehabilitation: 05-01-2025
Location: Terschelling
Species: Grey seal
Gender: Male
Ziggy has been at our center since 5 January, making him in care longer than average. When he was found, as a small pup about seven to 10 days old, his back flipper was so swollen that care was the only option. Despite eating well and growing well, there are still concerns about his ankle. Therefore, he has already been moved from Phase 2 to Phase 1 and back a few times. He will receive intensive care until he can safely return to the Wadden Sea. Would you like to help Ziggy? Adopt him symbolically and contribute directly to his recovery. (Photo: Lisa Rademaker)

Pearl
Date rehabilitation: 02-03-2025
Location: Julianadorp
Species: Grey seal
Gender: Male
Pearl had been observed for a few days before we decided to take him in. Our seal guards noticed that he kept staying in the same place and that his condition was rapidly deteriorating. Care was necessary for his survival. Pearl was weak, had a wound on his shoulder and probably a lungworm infection. Yet at his intake he was particularly feisty and strong. Pearl is doing better now and now resides in Phase 2. Will you help Pearl get fully well again?

Witje
Date rehabilitation: 04-01-2025
Location: Noord-Holland
Species: Grey seal
Gender: Male
White came to us as an orphaned, injured puppy a few days old. He had a swollen flipper and a damaged eye, which have since healed. Unfortunately, we discovered that one side of the mouth was really badly damaged, probably due to a tooth abscess. Witje has since had an operation to cover exposed bone edges with gums, to prevent infection. Meanwhile, Witje is doing much better and is already in Phase 3. Will you support Witje until he is allowed to return to the Wadden Sea?

Jutter
Date rehabilitation: 03-01-2025
Location: Vlieland
Species: Grey seal
Gender: Female
Jutter came to us with many problems, including multiple fractures, swallowing and stomach problems and possibly a bone infection in her hind flipper. At almost every check-up, we discovered new defects. Miraculously, Jutter recovered: she is now swimming in Phase 3 and will be released on 30 April. After almost 4 months in our shelter, she can return to the Wadden Sea, and we are very happy about that. You can still support Jutter by adopting her or donating a portion of fish.
