The Wadden Sea is Europe's largest tidal area. An invaluable area for many, including the seal. For us, the seal is the bio-indicator of the condition of the sea. For example, by doing research, we found out that in the last 10 years, there are four times as many entangled seals. de afgelopen tien jaar, vier keer zoveel verstrikte zeehonden zijn.

We would like to continue our work and learn to understand these changes. With this, we can use all the help we can get. So we can continue to help seals, raise awareness and do research to preserve this beautiful area.

Adopt a seal

It costs an average of €3,000 to rehabilitate one seal. From that, a seal can stay at the shelter for two months and receive food and medication. We also collect various samples while caring for seals in need. With these, we assess not only the animal's health, but ultimately that of the entire Wadden Sea. A complete adoption costs €3,000 without VAT.
